H-Town Systems ("we," "us") builds websites, booking systems, and business automations for local shops. This page explains what information we collect when you use htownsystems.com or contact us, and what we do with it. Plain English, no tricks.
What we collect
- What you send us. If you text, call, or email us, we receive your name, phone number, email address, and whatever you tell us about your business.
- Payment information. Deposits and payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number — Stripe handles that on their systems under their own privacy policy.
- Basic technical data. Our hosting provider (Vercel) keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) to keep the site running and secure. We do not run advertising trackers or analytics pixels on this site.
Text messages
We send SMS text messages only in two situations: (1) you checked the optional SMS-consent checkbox on our contact form, or (2) you texted H-Town Systems first, in which case we reply to your conversation. Providing your phone number alone does not sign you up for text messages — if you submit our form without checking the box, we will follow up by email or a normal phone call instead, and no automated texts will be sent to you.
If you do opt in (or text us first), messages are about your request — quotes, demos, scheduling, and project updates. Message frequency varies. Consent to receive texts is never a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply. We do not sell or share your mobile number or SMS consent with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. We honor opt-outs promptly.
When you check the consent box, we record your consent along with the time, your phone number, the page you consented on, and the version of the disclosure you saw, so we can prove and honor your choice.
What we use it for
- Responding to you and delivering the work you hired us for
- Sending project updates, demos, and invoices
- Keeping records of what we agreed to
We do not sell your personal information. Ever. We don't share it with anyone except the service providers needed to run the business (hosting, payments, messaging), and they're only allowed to use it to provide those services.
How long we keep it
Client records are kept for as long as you're a client plus whatever the tax man requires. If you're not a client and just inquired, we keep the conversation in case you come back.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. Texas residents have these rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act. Just contact us — we don't make you fill out forms.
Children
Our services are for businesses. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be noted plainly.
